Santiago de Compostela airport (SCQ): Located in Lavacolla, 10 km away from the city center.
Airlines operating out of the Santiago de Compostela airport: Air Europa, Air Nostrum, EasyJet, Iberia Express, Iberia, Lufthansa, Swiss, Aer Lingus, Ryanair, and Vueling Airlines. The airport provides nonstop service to the following international destinations: Amsterdam, Basel, Dublin, Frankfurt, Geneva, London (Gatwick and Stansted), Milan, Munich, Paris (CDG), Rome and Zürich. There are several daily connections to Madrid and Barcelona, that allow to link to worldwide destinations, and to other Spanish cities such as Bilbao or Seville.
A bus connects the airport with the city center every 30 minutes, with stops at the congress venue (“congress center”) and two stops at the city center (Praza de Galicia and train station). Buses leave the airport at “o’clock” and “half past” from the front of the arrivals terminal. The cost is 3 euros. A taxi ride to the city center is about 21 euros.
Coruña airport (LCG): Located at Alvedro, near Coruña, 60 kms away from Santiago de Compostela. Could be useful as an alternative connecting point. There are frequent bus and train connections to Santiago, but it is necessary to commute from the airport to the Coruña bus or railway stations by taxi first. Alternatively, a car can be rented at the airport.
Vigo airport (VGO): Located at Peinador, near Vigo, at 90 km from Santiago. As with the Coruña airport, Santiago can be easily reached from Vigo by train, bus or rental car.
Oporto airport (OPO): The Oporto-Sá Carneiro airport is located 200 km away from Santiago. It is an international hub with many direct connections to Europe and even some transatlantic flights. There are buses connecting the airport directly with Santiago. The ride takes 3 hours and a half. These buses stop at the Santiago bus station. Please be aware of the fact that Oporto is on GMT and Santiago, on GMT+1. The trip by car is about 2 hours and a half.
