Santiago de Compostela has a very large variety of hotels, from the magnificent Renaissance style Hostal dos Reis Católicos [1] [2], built by king Ferdinand of Aragon and queen Isabella of Castille to tend to exhausted and ill pilgrims arriving to the city, now a luxury hotel, to extra cheap youth hostel style places tending to pennyless pilgrims, and everything in between.

Here is a list of hotels with which the Prion2018 Organization has negotiated special rates. It is advised that you book well in advance of the meeting, as Santiago can become very busy by late spring.

A recommended extremely cheap option:

Single room, shared bathroom: 14 €

The Minor Seminary of Santiago (a boarding high school for boys who plan to become catholic priests in the future), has two floors opened to the public to cater to pilgrims and travellers. Small single rooms are truly, and literally, monachal, but extremely clean and well maintained. The place has the atmosphere of a cosmopolitan youth hostel, with canteen, kitchen with cooking facilities and laundry area.
